IMSET

Institute for Mathematics, Science, Engineering, and Technology (IMSET) is a three-week summer program for high school students who are considering careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).  Selected students will prepare to become an integral part of today’s math and science workforce by focusing on science, technology, engineering and mathematics through curriculum development and enrichment activities. Students will engage in learning activities to improve study and test-taking skills and to enhance personal development.

Qualified applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the program:

  • Submit a completed application,

  • Have a 2.75 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale 

  • Submit a letter of recommendation from the school principal and 1 teacher at their current school

  • Submit standardized test scores from current school. 

  • Submit a brief essay explaining their interest in STEM, familiarity with the careers in STEM, reason for interest in IMSET and an explanation of how IMSET can assist in meeting their career goals.
